New starter in Northern England

New Technical Sales Manger Tracy to give Structherm more Northern exposure

External wall insulation experts Structherm have brought on a new Technical Sales Manager for the North of England, who will be travelling across the region to meet customers and increase awareness of the company’s unique range of products.

Technical Sales Manager Tracy Allen, who has worked in construction sales for more than twenty years, is looking to introduce specifiers and architects to Structherm’s unique Structural External Wall Insulation (SEWI) system for ageing, non-traditional properties.

“We can restore many older property types, including houses or flats that may be up to 100 years old and perhaps are in need of urgent structural and thermal upgrade,” said Tracy, 43, from Leeds. ”Our SEWI system has the potential to refurbish a lot of buildings, but many architects and local authorities may not be aware of its benefits, so it’s down to me to  educate them.”

The SEWI system can prolong the life of properties with specific structural failings, and can even rescue properties that have been designated defective, including non-traditional low and high-rise buildings, with an emphasis on social housing.

“Having worked in sales for similar companies over the last few years I’ve built up a lot of contacts and experience in the construction industry,” continued Tracy, “which I’m already putting to good use.”

“I’m looking forward to bringing my own expertise of the Northern England market to this role. Structherm, and its parent company Forterra, have been great to work for so far – very experienced  and far ranging, while also friendly and approachable.”

Janicke Aitken, General Manager of Structherm, said: “Tracy has brought a huge amount of experience and a highly positive attitude to the role, and we welcome her on board and wish her all the best.”

Structherm won awards for its products’ transformative effect on two social housing projects at the Insulated Render & Cladding Association (INCA) Awards in London last year.

Stuctherm is the only provider of the SEWI system, and with over 30 years ‘ experience in treating various property types, including metal-frame, timber frame, in-situ and precast concrete, the company has built up a wealth of technical knowledge and provides a comprehensive range of External Wall Insulation systems.
