The package provided by Structherm included Fastbuild walls, floor planks, staircases, roof structure and roof coverings. The building has been finished using Structherm’s non-structural external wall insulation to the ground floor with a marble aggregate finish and timber cedar boarding to the upper floors.

 

Due to limited site space, deliveries were strategically worked in to the programme, with materials brought to site just in time. Bathroom pods were brought to site and installed the same day. Waste on the project was minimal as the Fastbuild system was manufactured to fit requirements. M&E was designed around the thermal mass of the concrete structure, resulting in heating requirements being reduced.

 

Fastbuild was chosen as it is an extremely robust product and is not weather dependent, giving predictable construction programmes. Fastbuild achieved the finished look of an arc, desired by the client rather than a faceted face, making the building more attractive.
