Helme Hall
The main section of Helme Hall is a mid 19th century country hall which has more recently been renovated and converted into a residential home caring for the elderly. As part of Helme Hall’s ongoing growth and improvements an additional wing offering 23 bedrooms was built using Structherm’s Fastbuild system.
Why Structherm were chosen
Due to the architecture of the existing building the area was protected under conservation regulations. This meant the new wing was required to be constructed in keeping with the design of the original building. Structherm’s design process and Fastbuild system offered the ideal flexibility required to sympathetically aid this traditional design.
Furthermore, although the Helme Hall extension did not go through the acoustic and thermal performance testing procedure, Structherm has gained an excellent reputation having previously completed a number of healthcare projects that have exceeded all the relevant care home and healthcare building regulations.
