Structherm | Fastbuild™
Fastbuild is a rapid, flexible building system, consisting of prefabricated concrete panels with a unique system of fixing brackets and channels. The flexibility of the design of the panels and speed of erection has made Fastbuild the market leader in variable-size concrete panel systems.

Some of the major benefits over traditional and other construction methods are:-
- Speed – reduction of contract times can be up to 30-40%
- Dry shell construction – not dependent on adverse weather conditions
- Environmental efficiency with excellent acoustic and air leakage properties
- No shrinkage cracking and minimal defects leading to lower life cycle costs
- Minimal waste due to pre-engineered design
- Reduced labour requirement
These cost effective, rendered structural cladding systems provide rigid, insulating and structurally continuous envelopes around entire structures or parts of structures. The aesthetic variations possible with the wide range of rendered finishes are limited only by the designer’s imagination.
Design
Design options are endless due to the various sizes of components, which make up the system. Fastbuild is suitable for most areas of application and can accommodate most buildings of up to 6 storeys.
Fastbuild Package
Fastbuild can be designed and supplied in various packages:-
- Fastbuild walls only
- Fastbuild walls, floors, staircases & liftshaft
- Fastbuild walls, floors, staircases, liftshaft & roof structure
Or any combination of the above…
Sustainability
Fastbuild offers a sustainable method of construction achieving the demanding standards set by recent legislation. For further information on sustainability – see Industry Issues
Application
Fastbuild is suitable for use in any of the following industry sectors:-
- Social & private housing developments (flats & apartments)
- Education – PFI/PPP projects
- Healthcare – LIFT programmes
- Commercial
- Key worker accommodation
- Student accommodation
- Leisure buildings
We do not generally have a limit to the size of project we can provide. However, projects of less than 1000m˛ would only be accepted as part of a larger scheme, due to economies of scale.

Standard Details
The Fastbuild system is used across a wide range of building sectors, the following details illustrate just a few of the possibilities available to a designer using the Fastbuild method. Graphics of:

Contracts / Project Management
Structherm employ dedicated contracts managers to ensure control of Fastbuild contracts covering aspects such as:
- to programme works in conjunction with the main contractor
- ensure projects are managed on time and to best quality and service
- maintain site safety at the highest level
- represent Structherm at site progress meetings
Quality Assurance
Fastbuild is backed by approval from the BBA, LABC, NHBC, Zurich and Allianz Cornhill. It is deemed by the BBA to have a design life superior to traditional masonry construction and meets the standards required by the NHBC. The system has also undergone rigorous testing for thermal, air tightness and acoustic performance – all of which have achieved results well above those required by the current and known future Building Regulations.
