Health & Safety

Our workforce are CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) accredited to help the construction industry improve quality and reduce accidents. We are dedicated to improving health & safety both on site and in the workplace.

Our manufacturing facility employs a dedicated Senior H&S Manager and H&S Officer, plus additional personnel to deal with Occupational Health. Additionally the company utilises an independent safety consultant and also have a suitably qualified training department which is an accredited CITB/NVQ training centre. Health, Safety and Training are integrated with the QA department and the company operates a management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management. H&S is managed in accordance with the principles of HSG 65 where active involvement and participation by employees is encouraged.

Workforce representatives attend H&S committees and managerial safety meetings on a regular basis. An accident reduction initiative has recently been introduced which is proving most effective. All work activities are conducted by risk assessed methodology’s and suitable and sufficient training and supervision are deployed in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc act 1974.
