Structherm have released a new case study detailing how their hybrid system can benefit non-traditional homes. The case study covers the refurbishment of 15 Anchor Timber bungalows for Falkirk Council, installed by A. C. Whyte.

Anchor homes were built with a timber frame, brick cladding on the gables, and timber lining to the front and rear elevations. The Building Research Establishment (BRE) report for this type of property highlights the possibility of localised decay of timber frame panels and plywood infill panels.

This project really shows the capabilities and versatility of the Structherm system. Working with the client and contractor, our Technical team brought together the strengths of our structural panels and standard EWI to create a Hybrid system tailored to the projects requirements.

The case study is available now, and covers the initial problems faced, our technical team’s design solution, and the results of the refurbishment. You can read and download it here.
