New Sales Director Appointed

Structherm are pleased to announce the appointment of John Sparrow to the newly created position of Sales and Marketing Director.

John joins us from Saint-Gobain Weber where he has worked for the last 12 years. He brings with him a wealth of experience as a result of his time as Regional Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and, more recently, Head Of Specialist Sales. Prior to joining Weber John headed up the sales operation for Knauf Marmorit in the UK. John has long been involved in the EWI market from its early days in the UK through to the “interesting” Green Deal times. More recently he’s also been involved with the EWI market in the Republic Of Ireland and export projects notably in Gibraltar and Iceland.

“I’m delighted to join Structherm to help them in the next, exciting stage of their development. They’re a great team with a real customer focus and whose technical support is second to none. Structherm have been the subject of many changes over the years but now it’s back in private hands again I’m looking to structure the sales operation to best deliver the growth to take it to the next level and put it on a solid foundation for the long term. Structherm are best known for their Structural External Wall Insulation system (or SEWI as it’s commonly referred to). This is a unique solution that’s particularly attractive when it comes to the refurbishment of non-trad properties, both low and high rise, – especially if these are deemed as defective in which case it provides a genuine alternative to demolition. But, it’s more than just a structural solution these days … standard EWI, render only, refurbishment and new build Structherm have the answer. With the added benefit of unique finishes like Monolith profiles and the award winning Artbrick brick and stone effect Structherm really do set themselves apart from the competition. The job is certainly going to be challenging, diverse and very interesting, there’s lots to do but, with such a great team it’s going to be enjoyable. From a marketing perspective it’s initially about re-branding and getting the basics in place (logo, website, social media, CPD etc) before we start to proactively target our chosen markets. From a sales point of view it’s about revising the area structure and strengthening the sales team to better focus on project management and formation of strong working partnerships with a UK wide network of Approved Installation Contractors. I look forward to the challenges ahead and hope to make a positive, long term, impact.”
