As you may be aware, our Operations Director Mark Harrison will take part in a Trek Nepal event for Marie Curie in January next year. With more than 29 hours of trekking, over five days, the journey is sure to challenge even confident hikers. Mark has been training for the past few months, including hiking holidays. He has already reached the summits of Ben Nevis, Snowden and Scafell Pike.

So far donations have come from family and friends, as well as a collection at Tesco and selling knitted slippers. Last week, Structherm staff joined in the fun with a coffee morning, raffle and quiz.

Staff donated raffle prizes, and bought breakfast butties, while taking some time out to enjoy the quiz. The hardest question was about the replacement singer for AC/DC at the end of their 2016 tour – It was Axl Rose!

All in all, staff managed to raise over £260, which will be added to Mark’s total, which currently stands at £3,182.00. We’re all proud of Mark’s efforts and are happy to help him to his goal. The money he has raised will help Marie Curie in their work to support families dealing with terminal illness.
